Rimutaka Incline fun run

Six Wellington Frontrunners participated in the Rimutaka Incline on Saturday 13 November.  Organised by Trentham Harriers, it is a fun run and walk over the old Fell Railway line between Upper Hutt and Featherston through the Rimutaka Ranges. The 17km course is entirely off-road but the surface is in excellent condition. It rises from 254m above sea level at the start, to the summit at 348m (10km mark). From there it was all down hill through a series of tunnels to the finish at Cross Creek, near Featherston.  After lunch in Featherston, the group had a celebratory drink at the White Swan at Greytown.
